ASSESSMENT TASK 1: E-PORTFOLIO
OVERVIEW
Your e-portfolio is a collection of work that reflects your effort, progress and achievements over time (Barrett, 2000).
(Source: Barrett, H.C. (2000). The electronic portfolio development process, https://electronicportfolios.org/ portfolios/aahe2000.html)
An e-portfolio is more than an electronic storehouse for your resume and copies of hard evidence such as scanned letters and photographs. You are expected to utilise the skills learnt in Communication in Health in developing an online e-portfolio and then converting it to a PDF for submission through the assignment drop box. Both the PDF file and the e-portfolio link are to be submitted for both parts A and B.
It is recommended you use WordPress, Adobe Slate or Wix to develop your e-portfolio. Your e-portfolio should reflect:
• critical thinking
• your learning
• your reflections on your learning, and
• your ongoing professional development.
In preparation for your e-portfolio, you need to begin to collect a range of evidence that reflects your personal achievements.
Part A
• Professional portfolio- cover page, personal details and photo (professional image)
• Resume- Education, work experience, skills
• Describe your chosen profession (HP, PH, HSM, TR)
• Search for two job vacancies, screen shot and include in portfolio
• Discuss the skills needed for the jobs
• Identify (from the skills in the job vacancies) skills you have and skills you need to develop
Part B
• Professional competencies- discuss at least three from chosen profession
• Professional ethics and values
• Match skills that you have and need to develop (from part A) to professional competencies
• Future professional goals and a plan to achieve these
ASSESSMENT TASK 2: PROJECT LEARNING REPORT
OVERVIEW
For this assessment task, students are asked to write a workplace or project learning report based around their experiences on work placement or project completed, and the learning activities within this unit.
The report should include:
• Comment on the key program you have chosen
• Background or history about the field
• Setting or service context where the research project would ideally be suited
• Discuss targeted population that the project would be designed for
• Discuss the benefits and drawbacks of the project
• Environmental issues considered including WHS and risk mitigation
• How the project could be developed into a program?
• Summary of learning experience
ASSESSMENT TASK 3: PRESENTATION
OVERVIEW
In Weeks 10 and 11 you will deliver a presentation about the project learning report you have worked on and develop it into a useable program. This interactive presentation should highlight a key program you are interested in, the setting or service context you would best deliver the program, the benefits of the program, how it would be implemented and evaluated.
