Learning outcome 5: Assess, implement and evaluate strategies to manage symptoms associated with dying, to optimise the individual's physical, psychological, spiritual and social function.

Learning outcome 6: Apply effective communication and literacy skills in the provision of quality nursing care, when interacting with an individual and their family, in a palliative care context.

Learning outcome 7: Explore spiritual, social cultural and psychological support strategies for people with life limiting illness, their family and carers.

Learning outcome 8: Evaluate strategies for facilitating collaborative and ethical decision-making about the provision of nursing care and advanced care planning.
