Criteria 1 - Individual Visual Consolidation
The main themes/elements of the four sections of your Individual Assignment 1 to be presented. The 'working drafts' and final version are to be collated on one page. Remember the visual impact, creativity, page layout, use of graphics, visuals, sketches conveying meaning, the larger font sizes for the more significant concepts, clarity in colours/headings, connectors to show the links between the four sections; An appropriate level of textual/visual contents and details effectively integrated in the visual note.
Criteria 2 - Critically analyse your key recommendations and explain the particular HRM core functions that have been recommended for actioning
Spend some time looking at a number of related HRM functions linked to your recommendations to help you make your choice. Describe the chosen ones which are most relevant and influential in in your industry. Look at the material collected to support your recommendations. Remember that wide options then narrowed down to the pivotal ones can be useful for your group research.
Criteria 3 - Carry out further research into the HRM functions and describe the best practice, industry benchmarks or external drivers that may affect HRM in your industry
Research a range of literature and industry reports to help you present this section. Describe the criteria for your choice of the HRM functions based on best practice within your industry. Look at the materials that you have collected to justify your argument. Again, wide options then narrowed down to the pivotal ones can be useful in this section as well for your group research.
Criteria 4 - Critically research and review the selected key recommendations and describe the related theoretical benchmarks and best practice for your workplace
Research a range of literature related to your recommendations to help you provide evidence to clearly support this section. Multiple academic sources and accurately supporting the reasons for your recommendations and how these are most likely to resolve your contemporary workplace issue. Remember to consider all the information that you have collected so far. Think past, present and future. Do not be conservative in your approach and ensure to back up your recommendations/findings with a logical argument. A sound analysis leading to a credible outcome for this section.
Criteria 5 - Individual Critical Reflection
As thoroughly discussed on Thu 7/11/19. Reflect on your journey through this course over the last eight weeks and in completing both e-Portfolios. Analyse, evaluate and reflect on the relationship between your whole working/studying experience; the practical, industrial, organisational and theoretical concepts or models covered. Reflect on what you have learnt about your industry, chosen organisation, related HRM issues and yourself during the process.
What has worked? What did not work? What have you gained or enhanced? Did you face any challenges during your learning? How did you overcome them? How are you going to use and/or expand the research carried out for both assignments? If you had to do them again, would you do it differently? Also, think about your continuing personal and professional development.
