Case Study (Attached)
Beast Mode Auto Tuning (BMAT) is an independent motor vehicle service business that specialises in modifying and tuning the engines of imported American muscle cars. The company operates from a rented workshop located near the Hornsby train station. Ford's decision to produce a right-hand drive version of the Ford Mustang GT for the Australian market has given BMAT a great opportunity to grow its business, since the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine in the Mustang GT is highly customisable and Mustang owners have a reputation for wanting to modify their vehicles.
You are required to deliver a detailed annotated spreadsheet containing all your calculations, as well as an executive summary outlining your assumptions and findings.
The executive summary should fit onto a single A4 page. It should include useful supplementary information that will help Larry and Ernesto make their decision, as well as the outcome of a sensitivity analysis exposing some of the key risks.
In particular, you should analyse the sensitivity of the NPV to the assumption that BMAT could charge $35,000 per supercharger installation, since some competitor products sell for less.
Your submission should consist of a printout of your Excel spreadsheet, a one-page executive summary and the completed assignment cover sheet.
