Voltage regulation VR is a quite significant measure of the quality of the source. It is used to measure the variation in terminal voltage between no load (IL =0, o) and full load IL =IFL as shown in the Figure given below.

Therefore, the smaller the regulation, the better the source. In earlier example, VNL =14.0 V and VFL 12.0 V, therefore
