If the 2 points P and Q are moving with the velocities u and v respectively along 2 straight lines intersecting at the angle a then

- If points P and Q be moving in same direction with the velocity u and v ( < u) then
vPQ = u - v ( in direction of P).
- If points P and Q be moving in opposite directions, then vPQ = u + v ( in the direction of P)
- In case the 2 points P, Q are moving with the velocities u, v at angles a, b with x axis, and v be velocity of P and relative to Q inclined at an angle b to the x axis then
