However, they would not be able to restore their business operations and support functions. In other words, a DRP is more-IT based. BCP is a much more comprehensive plan that goes beyond the recovering of information systems. Therefore, organizations prefer to develop a BCP. A BCP helps in recovering the primary business operations of the organization, its information systems, its business support functions, as well as voice and data communications.
Disaster Recovery Planning:
The management of the company needs to make certain that the DRP is in tune with the overall BCP in order to ensure consistency. Following are the objectives of a DRP:
