Chemical Bonding:
The atoms of various elements apart from noble gases don't have the whole octet thus they combine with other atoms to make the chemical bond. The force which holds the ions or atoms together in the molecule is known as chemical bond and the process of their combination is known as the Chemical Bonding. It depends upon the atoms' valency.
Reason and type of chemical combination
The chemical bonding occurs to attain the state of least amount of energy and highest amount of stability and to change atoms into the molecule to attain stable configuration of the nearest noble or inert gas.
We categorize atoms into three categories described below:
(1) The Electropositive elements that give one or much more electrons quite simply. They comprise low ionisation potentials.
(2) The Electronegative elements that can gain the electrons, having higher value of electronegativity.
(3) The Elements that contain little tendency to gain or lose electrons.
The various types of bonds are formed from these atoms.
