Band Pass Filter
A band pass filter allows a certain band of frequencies to pass through the network which is adjusted by the designer. It is an amalgamation of a low pass and a high pass filter. If Figures (a) and (a) are joined in the cascade, a high pass filter can be constructed as shown in the Figure. In this case, there are 2 resistors and 2 capacitors whose values can be changed to tune the desired band.

The amplitude and phase response of the band pass filter is shown in the Figure below highlighting the 2 cutoff frequencies ω1 and ω2. All frequencies within this range in the input signal will be allowed to pass unaltered through the circuit whilst any frequency outside these limits will be blocked or attenuated everely.
