This would then play a major in the development as well as the pilot implementationof the electronic records and documentation management system for the organization.A project officer has been hired by the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) which is aCommonwealth Agency. In 2000, the organization had implemented Steps A-C of the Dirks methodologyto create a keyword thesaurus along with a retention disposal authority. The funds have already beenallocated for the project. The purpose of hiring a project manager is to develop a project management planthat would give a strategic direction to the project (Slater,2002, pp. 533-546). Background The whole idea behind completing this project by the ABA is to integrate the various streams ofinformation and knowledge that are available throughout the organization and to have a single source ofinformation from where all of this data can be accessed and used in future. As a part of this entire project,an Information Management System that goes by the name of AIMS is also being developed by thecompany that would integrate the various databases across the ABA, to support the functional andstrategic requirements of the organization. But the flaw with this would be that it doesn?t manage tocapture the electronic data that is available throughout the organization and only captures the paper baseddata. So the company intends to capture this electronic data as well which would then work as a hybridsystem along with the paper based records management system. So appropriate business tools need to bedeveloped along with this system that would be in compliance with the various rules and regulations thatthe company needs to follow in order to function as a government agency. Relevant training also needs tobe provided to the user regarding the processes while using this new tool as well (Harris, L. 2003).3 "
