In the verybeginning of the paper we have explained the services provided in the profession. Light hasbeen imposed on the subject as to why we have chosen this profession. Forensic setting andthe services provided have been discussed and explored in terms of various opportunities andchallenges a forensic psychologist faces. Ways wherein we can make maximum of theseopportunities and overcome these challenges have been explored through the paper. Dualroles in the profession have been focused upon. A deep insight to the environment andconditions a specific forensic psychologist in prone to have also been catered to. Along withall the specific ethical codes and guidelines, that is relevant and of application to service orsituation has also been explained in this work.Identification and analysis of APA and AP-LScodes and guidelines that may be conflicting in the professional role identified for this paperhave been put emphasis upon (Loftus& Palmer, 1974). Various other parameters such as thecultural competencies needed to ethically and effectively work with this population,competencies that are strengths of yours and those that you need to further development,challenges that can confront us because of the differences in population, strategies we need toemploy in order to overcome these and any ethical challenges that could arise along withtheir management have been explored and catered upon. In the conclusion, we have thrownlight on the insights we have gained. These insights include importance of ethics for theforensic psychology professional, any views that have changed. Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code ofConduct as well as the Psychology-Law Society’s Specialty Guidelines for ForensicPsychology are examined and studied thoroughly. All critical ethical principal and theguidelines mentioned prior are used to describe the ethical dilemmas, professional challenges,and approaches to overcome these issues within a professional forensic psychology role oftheir choice ("Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.", 2013). "
