Thephosphatase activity of NRII is speeded up by the protein of signal transduction of PII, whichbinds to NRII. The studies of this system suggested that the kinase activity of NRII was notregulated while phosphatase activity was regulated, , while these activities were not coordinatelyregulated.. In set of all experiments, the rates of autophosphorylation of NRII inpresence and absence of PII were directly examined and no significant difference was noticed.
