  • "A survey of departmental store customersNameIntro to Statistics: Project OneDate Introduction: The survey topic I chose for this project is “A survey of departmental storecustomers”. I chose this because I have an interest in customer satisfaction at different stores and Iknew people I know would be willing to answer some questions about the topic.Data collection:The questions I asked people are: 1. What is the store location?2. Are you male or female?3. Are you satisfied with the service?4. How old are you?5. Income after shopping?6. What is your checkout speed?Summary statistics:Summary statistics for my quantitative data includes: “How old are you” – mean = 31.63, median =33.5, mode =25, variance = 26.92, standard deviation = 5.19 “Income after shopping?” – mean =3722.1, median = 3981, mode =4073, variance = 558016.85, standard deviation = 747.01 “What isyour checkout speed?” – mean = 11.11, median = 11, mode =15, variance = 22.71, standard deviation= 4.77 Graphs:Pie chart:The pie chart indicates that most of the customers are from urban.Bar chart: The bar chart indicates that most of the customers are satisfied with the service.Box plot:From the box plot we see that the distribution is negatively skewed.Scatter plot:From the Scatter plot we can observe a little increasing trend , thus we can say that the variables have apositive association or relation.
