It enables us to applydifferent strategy and make decision in real world. Mikesbikes is one of them, a virtualworld of business. This simulation contains different segments, advertising allocation,capacity, distribution debt and equity control etc.There are two versions of Mikesbikes business simulation: 1. Single play and 2.Multiplay. Mikesbikes Intro Multi play by Smartsims is really a helpful for businesssimulation to get used to real world business. Multi play gives almost similarenvironment as real world so that one can understand the business very easily.Strategy:Mikesbikes Intro Multi play contains three segments, price, development, production,advertising, PR, capacity, distribution, debt and equity etc.With these all componentsone has to play very wisely and make decision effectively. The main target is to increaseshareholder value (SHV). In the beginning of the play, it is eligible to play withadvertising and eventually other area will be free to control one by one. We researched allthe reports specially the market research reports where we found that the strategy ofadvertising and price of the product. In the year 1, according to that strategy we appliedmoderate price and advertising campaign especially in magazine and a little bit in PR andalso produced the mountain bike more than we need to get rid of loss of sales. Along withDate Title 4the previous strategy we paid least distribution margin with additional support andincrease our branding to add more awareness in the second year. In the third year we paidoff all debt that reduce interest expenses which is a drawback of profit and decrease SHVand controlled capacity where we increased our efficiency to reduce wastage andincreased quality as well which was almost 90%. The year 4 was very challengingbecause we had to improve our mountain bike which cost us $2m and launched a newproduct. We looked through to the reports and from the market research reports, wefound that youth bike was the best to launch on that particular year due to its market andcost us $1m and we spent heap of money on TV because it worked a lot for youth bikes.We increased our capacity and we paid a lot in the efficiency and quality and alsobranded our product to add more awareness. Besides, we started buying back the equitywhich also contributes a lot to increase our shareholder value and we paid 50 cents ofth dividend. The second biggest challenge was for us in the 5 year. We improved ourmountain, youth and launched Road bikes that cost us almost $4m. We increased ourproduct price because of improvement of the product. The Road bike is very expensiveproduct. From the market reports we found that the quality is king for Road bikes andspent a lot in the Magazine in PR. Finally, we got all the control in the 6th year of thegame. There was extra slot given to launch another product but we decided not to launcha new product because we had already launched the entire product. If we would launch aproduct, it would like competing ourselves due to 3 products in the market. We increasedour capacity, efficiency and quality because of growth in sales and also increased theprice of the products. We bought all equity that we could buy and increased payingth dividend eventually. We followed the previous year strategy in the 7 year but westopped improving our product so that we decrease our product price to make stability inDate Title 5the sales. We paid dividend as much as we could to increase our shareholder value. In thelast year we hardly changed any decisions but again we reduced our product price tomaintain previous sales.Multi-Player Experience: First we were required to change the name of the company to our own selective name. Inamed company Bikes for single player simulation. I went through the year ahead reportto understand the general idea of the market and to learn the steps required to makedecisions for business.For the initial year, we were only allowed to operate the company with mountain bike.We tried entering amounts which were higher than the default price such as $700 withvery little change in the PR and advertisement budgets. The result after first roll over wasnot impressive as the SHV was dropped from $11 to $. After discussing with otherstudents nearby, I understood to focus on advertisements for the first year. I started backagain and made decisions that I learnt previously and found the SHV had risen to $. Thenext year in the game was vital for branding and distribution. I decided to decrease theprice from $710 to $705, in order to push more sales. Date "
