"Focus Group InterviewAt researchers place an interview was conducted by a focus group. The 7 participants who havegathered are friends sat in round sofas and chairs. The interviewer asked them to share theiropinions on Theatre Entertainment vs Home entertainment networks like Netflix/Amazon. Theyinformed that this is a part of their research study and they can participate voluntarily. All theiropinions are recorded on phone and with the help of content analysis and later they were editedand analysed.Respondent 1 Karthick: The main reasons why many people are signing up to the Netflix and notgoing to movie theatres are more cost of the ticket, charging too high for snacks, babies cries, ringingof cell phones, hitting by someone with the foot while sitting on chair etc.. as soon as the moviereleases it will be available in Netflix and can opt for it through which we can save money and evenwe can drink beer or have dinner while watching the movie in Netflix. In theatres all the time we have to sit on chairs wearing shoes but in home we can sit on couchcomfortably with no shoes and wearing pyjamas. We can also have a good experience if you have anawesome blue ray home theatre system. Netflix, Amazon and similar services which are acting likedigital distribution platform for the future of media must be get developed. Don’t know about otherswho like to watch with crowd.Respondent 2 Indy: By using Netflix we can watch 3 movies for only £15 a month but by going totheatre have to pay £10 per movie.Respondent 3 Francis: I feel it will be very good to watch the action movies like The Dark Knight,Hello boy 2 etc, in theatre rather than at home. Home theatre cannot reproduce the experience whichwe can feel with our physical senses in theatre and prefer to watch movies with comedy in home asthey don’t need sensory experience. Doctor movie which was released in 2013 i have watched intheatre wearing 3D glasses. The experience was so great where i cannot get that feeling with blue rayhome theatre system. Now a day’s people are going for a right film to have a right experience.Respondent 4 Jarome: Prefer to watch the Action movies like Iron man, Dark knight etc in theatre tohave a great experience. For other movies i will prefer DVD or cable which has an option of pay perview, enjoying comfortable couch and pop corn which is handmade. In Netflix so many times there isan unavailability of new releases which make makes me to feel irritated. If high quality movies gotdownloaded with no buffering in my computer then i will opt for that. Respondent 5 Sandy: I feel Netflix as a better option rather than the messy things we see in thetheatres. Previously when i went to theatre person who sat next to me left out the diaper of their kidon the floor and to move to the next row we had to cross over that mess. Instead of all those things inhome we can have our own food which will be cheap, bathroom breaks, and even can plan for amovie night with friends. "
