The report indicates that the white hat hacker discovered more than six security flawsin particular software FacebookA security researcher, Orange Tsai found out seven vulnerabilities compromising the systemsince they can be used by attackers to penetrate through the network. The researcher was doingtests as per the Facebook's bug bounty program and was paid significantly for his findings. It wasfound that another security researcher who was participating in the program and was testing thethird party software also. Further, another argument says that even ifthere are such compromises of security issues, the black hats would not be able to authenticatethemselves to the Facebook system. Though the system specialists and security researchers could give possible ways toprevent the threats highlighted, the question that remained is that there could be some otherthreats ahead, and this issue prompts the Facebook developers to reinforce their defense ways toprevent leaking of codes to the internet.The problem of vulnerability of Facebook software is of concern to me because I am a regularuser of the media. Hence, any insecurity issues arising might affect me in a way. The newsrelates to my topic of study since it outlines the cyber security issue resulting in the currenttechnology.
