This way a kid, felt insulted by the parents and strikeback those things again for which they are punished. There are many ways to punish akid. So, parents must avoid hitting their children. When a parent punishing harshly, hischild does not understand what is right or what is wrong. Parents must realize their kid,what wrong they did. They must not try this again because this may harm their behavior.Parents must not embarrass or humiliate their children in front of the others; this maybring anger into them. The best way to reduce misbehavior is to nourish them withpositive behavior (greeno, 2008). What are the negative impacts of punishment on children development?The negative impacts of punishment are:? Punishment may stop the creative thinking of children which they will not show becauseof the fear of punishment. It may stop the children internal creativity. ? Punishment may easily convert into the abuse, which is very offensive in nature. ? Parents who punish their child frequently that child fails to learn internal control ofbehavior. ? The pain associated with punishment can make children more aggressive and responsivetowards the parents (Greeno, 2008). 1 Describe one (1) specific fact about punishment that you were not aware of before. Includea paragraph reflecting on how you feel now that you know this information?Earlier I was not aware of the fact that some parents beat their children just because they thinkthat punishment will make their children well manner and disciplined. There are many parentswho practice punishment to make their children well mannered. If the children are not beaten up,they will not learn how to behave. Humiliating a child is not good and parents must try to avoidat all. I am feeling so lucky that while doing this assignment I have learned good things about thechild development (Bandura, 2004). ? ns to speak small sentences and after sometime, the kid tries to speak long sentencesproperly. Initially, a child able to understand his/ her closest one properly. Aftersometime, he/she started speaking to the strangers as well (Flavell, 2004). To support Jana, I think she wanted her mother to play with her or to encourage her when she didanything good. Children want her parents to praise them and laugh with them. That’s why Jana isdoing these actions to grasp her mother’s attention.2 "
