You are driven by enthusiasmfor ‘your’ new business concept, the market potential for it and the fact you will have a unique set of valuepropositions to offer to customers.You will need to plan ahead for this new venture, outline your business model, and then work according to yourbusiness development plan in order to achieve a successful launch in one year’s time.You now will need to apply managerial tools & concepts learned on the MBA programme in order to present abusiness development plan to thereby make this new venture a success.Moreover, you will need to convince assessors of the viability of your new business intentions which must be bothfeasible from a business perspective as well as individually desirable.Page4SCENARIO2YOUR EMPLOYING ORGANISATION AS AN EXISTING BUSINESSYour RoleIn your current managerial role, which you must specify, you are seeking career progression within theorganisation, but have to prove yourself in the eyes of your superiors, peers and subordinates.You have been assigned to lead a business development project team, which has been tasked by thecompany board, to prepare a 3-year business plan to meet future shareholder and stakeholder expectations.To support you in this role, your MBA knowledge, toolkit, skills and mindset must be used to best advantage.If you are not in a position to use your current employing organisation, then you may select another organisationof your choice to prepare a 3-year business plan.
