As far as the personal conflict that can be seen I would saythat there is a difference of opinions between all levels of the organization .For example MickeyPonds and the head coach are having a conflict between Mickey Feels as if the coach is thebiggest jerk he has every played for. This falls right in line with personal conflict because thistype of conflict deals with differences that individual have with other personalities as Mickey haswith his head coach. The procedural conflict is seen between all levels of the organizationbecause of the move that the head coach has made in the benching of the two.Question 2. In this situation characterized by functional or dysfunctional conflict, or both?Explain. Functional conflict is commonly referred to in management circles as constructive orcooperative component. Functional conflict is beneficial to organizational goals and objectives.Dysfunctionalconflict is detrimental to organizational goals and objectives. Though usuallypeople think of it as a bad thing, conflict can be a positive occurrence within an organization tobring about change.Two types of conflict are dysfunctional and functional.Positive result of functional conflict areawareness of both sides of issues , solving issues together to improve overall morale.Negativeresults of dysfunctional conflict are individuals use threats, verbal abuse and deception whichdestroy relationship ,both parties can end up losing in this type of conflict. There is another typeof a conflict which occurs most frequently. It is known as procedural conflict the conflict thatarises over how work should be completed.Question 3. Once I had been able to identify the types of conflict where it is coming from as well asthe different ideas of why it is happening, the first step would be to communicate to eachmember what the conflict is and get their output on why it is happening. I believe thatcommunication is part of the overall key to solving specially when one has to solve issues.
