A correlation analysis wascarried out by the researcher in Ms Excel in order to gauge the objectives and the set variables ofthe research. The dependent and independent variables were analysed in order to determine thecorrelation and there results were presented in tables3.1.5 Correlations between unethical banking and independent variablesOn carrying out the correlation on the unethical banking practices and the set variables, the resultwas that the variables affected the operations and performances of the institution independently.A negative correlation of .218 and a significant level of .02, were seen in the relationshipbetween value systems and unethical banking. A positive correlation of .108 and a significantlevel of .235 were seen in the relationship between unethical banking and effectiveness ofservices. A negative correlation of .186 and a significant level of .21 were seen in therelationship between equality in provision of services and unethical banking. And also acorrelation of .127 and a significant level .210 were seen between unethical banking and socialfocus. The table below gives a summary of these findings.Surname 173.1.6 Research MethodologyThe research main purpose was to investigate and ascertain the norms of deposit takinginstitutions in the banking industry in Kenya in regard to ethical concerns, by giving in-depthinterviews which are administered in form of set questionnaires, which is geared to derive getboth general and professional opinions of clients of the banks identified, banking professions,and banks in Kenya. The 100 respondents sampled as the population of this study were fromdiverse localities within the country. The questionnaire designed and distributed consisted ofsixteen questions. The questions designed solicited for a closed response of a True, false andoccasionally, of whose reaction was analyzed and put into a table using Microsoft applicationssuch as Excel and other standard software.The respondents were personally interviewed either by face to face or through telephoneconversations. A total of 98(ninety eight) of the questionnaires were filled upthereforeproducing a response rate ofninety eight percent Mainly we opted for qualitative studies so as toeffectively use a criterion on inductive approach so as to generalize the final outcomes boththeoretically and empirically. This qualitative approach was able to collect concrete informationwhich identified the unethical behaviors in the banking industry in Kenya and therefore proposepossible resolutions to change the unethical norms within the industry with a goal to end thebankruptcy crisis.3.1.6 Research FindingsThe analyzing of this data was conducted by the use of Ms Excel spreadsheets and displayed incorrelation analysis with measures of central tendencies.3.1.7 Descriptive statistics of the research variablesThe variablesof the banking system obtained from the conceptual framework deducted fromconsiderations of the unethical practices established that the value systems are the bestconsideration to promote higher ethical standards in the banking system. These twovariables ascertain that the use of moral values which are acceptable to all has an impact on thepromoting of ethical banking behavior3.1.11 Unethical banking and efficiency ofservicesA 0.201 relationship and the significant level of 0.298 demonstrated an excellent positivecorrelation between wrong banking norms and banking value system. That showed an efficientservice system has an effect on the ethical banking and customer focused services can bedeveloped target customers.3.1.12 Unethical banking and Fairness in services delivered0.131 relationships and the significant level of 0.005 were seen, proving that a significantpositive correlation between ethical business behaviors and Equality in service provision exists."
