Their language is conventional, full ofexpressions, praise nature, emotional discharge and flowery language. They Emphasize liberationand individuality; opposed to convention, conformity, and tyranny of religion; nature wassomething to be revered and admired. It was a source of inspiration, happiness, and satisfaction.Pastoral life, medievalism, Hellenism, supernaturalism are also important features of romanticpoetry. William Blake a writer from Romantic Era, who is a visionary, writes his poem accordingto his beliefs and how he sees the world and Human nature. Like one of his work entitled thelamb, the poem is all about innocence and gentleness, the poem tells about a child asking a lambabout who made it and who provide its food and clothing. In the same way, the child answers thequestion that the one who created it was the one called lamb, who is Christ which is defined ashumble and gentle. The child, the lamb, and Christ all signifies innocence. Alfred Tennyson is one of the reigning poets at the time that Queen Victoria is the leaderof the country, and he is also one of the most known poets in the language of English. Tennyson’slater poetry dealt with issues of current national concern. The same with Poet Laureate is the onewho showcased or represented the literature and became the voice of the literary world and madequite plenty of pronouncements of the affairs in the politic.
