Coaching and building a team so that the leadership strategy is more effective withthat particular vision.The concept of leadership is concerned with bringing together the skills that are required todo the things and then doing them differently (Mind tools, 2015).The following are some of the pointers for the development of a leadership strategy:1. The organizations that are considered to be high performers, are somewhat linkedwith the leadership strategy to the business strategy. The companies that perform wellbuild a leadership program that uniquely trains, supports and selects the people thatdrives their business strategies. This helps them in executing the culture that is in builtinto the organization. LEADERSHIP STRATEGY2Fig 1: Leadership Linkage Model2. The high performance companies develop their leaders at all the levels of thatorganization. This is irrespective of their designation such as that of the linemanagers, supervisors or the middle managers that make the things happen.3. The high performers are the people that invest their resources in the development ofthe leadership (Forbes, 2015).As per the development strategy illustrated by Pasmore, the following points are included:1. On boarding processes: there are new leaders that must socialise in the company andthey must be made aware of what they are expected to achieve.2. Assessments of the individuals and the organization: the assessments are used in thedevelopment of the various individuals for the purposes of gaining self awareness andalso to provide the information that helps the organization in identifying the talent thatserves as a good fit for the positions that are available in the organization.3. Individual development plans: this helps in the development of the plans that helps inthe learning and growth of overtime. These are plans that help in the comprehensiveand covering work for the programming activities and also, discuss the variousactivities with the individual leaders and the other representatives.4. Work assignments: these serves as an opportunity that could help the leaders indeveloping the various competitive strategies or the practices of the key behaviours. LEADERSHIP STRATEGY3This also helps in focussing on to the learning from the work assignments. It is quiteimportant to have some specific goals and the opportunities that could help inreceiving the feedback on the various progresses and also help in mentoring thediscussion of the various learning strategies (William Pasmore, 2015).The leadership development strategies have to be team based, that is, it must have theemployees that must come and work together on the teams so that they are able to workacross the boundaries for the achievement of success. There must be leadership events thatare able to serve as opportunities to the various employees. Then there must be employeeengagement activities that help in achieving the objectives of the organization. Further, theleadership level by level and function by function could be achieved by the way of taking intoaccount the various differences in the various levels and the functions. Further, the strategy ofleadership takes time to build in (IPA, 2009).This is somewhat how the company like Uber was able to achieve its success. It alsoundertook the following strategies:1. Anticipating as to what could come and then preparing for the same.2. The leaders reinvent themselves and in turn, reinvent new strategies.3. New research methods help in new information that could in turn help in collectinghuge information.4. Deciding as to what course of strategy would be and then acting upon it.5. Aligning the people with the innovative ideas so that diverse activities could beundertaken for the success of the business.6.
