BECOMING A CEO2The corporate executive managers do have to gain a lot of experience to climb up thecorporate ladder. It is also evident from the past that the corporate executive managers havegained an increased amount of experience during the earlier years. During the earlier years,the corporate executive officers had to invest in the stock of each and every public companyin the hope of making its way up to the moon (Study, 2015). It was after that, then the presslooked upto the CEO’s as being the new rock stars of the company or the industry in whichhe is working as an employee. These executive officers are at the top most levels of thecompany.These are the people that give a direction to the various strategies to the goals and theobjectives with which the company has been formed a new way of looking at it. A personneeds to have a certain level of knowledge for becoming or gaining a top most position inthat organization or in that industry. He must possess the knowledge that is required toaddress the various concerns for the shareholders or the stockholders. They are the peoplethat have to have an immense knowledge of about the future of the company should be andwhat directions should be given to the company so that it climbs up the ladder (HBR, 2015).A person must have the knowledge to carry on the day to day operations of the organizationso that he actually knows what needs to be done and what shape it is to be given. That personhas to give a direction to the company by working with the board of directors that representsthe various shareholders of the company. They also make the decisions about the things aboutthe mix of the various products and the services that the company is willing to sell. He has toknow the best way through which the resources could be allocated and the most efficient wayin which the scarce resources could be channelized so that the goals and the objectives with BECOMING A CEO3which the company was formed could easily be achieved. In order to illustrate, Bill Gates,Larry Ellison were the best in their respective fields and they had to gain a huge amount ofexperience when it came to starting their own company or becoming a great CEO. The basicidea of the organization is the foundation of laying down a good company. A CEO is theperson who is charged with all the responsibilities, starting from the day to day operations ofthe company and ending with giving an overall direction to the company.
