In terms of revenue the Woolworths Limited hasbeen referred as the second largest retail chain of Australia. Woolworths Limited is the publicsector retail organization which was established in the year of 1924. The headquarters of thecompany is situated in New South Wales, Australia (Spillan & Ling, 2015). The Company is alsothe second largest retail supermarket chain in New Zealand in terms of revenue. The companyoffers wide range retail products including food products, clothing, grocery products, electronicproducts, home appliances, furniture, petrol, hotels and gambling services, liquor and generalmerchandise services. Customers play the central role of any business organization. Thecompany ensures its services for different levels of customers including businessman, familyoriented, young customers and aged customers across the countries where it is operated. Theretail supermarket has introduced different loyalty program from its valuable potentialcustomers. The loyal customers can get different types of seasonal discount, monsoon offer andholiday offers which maintains the long term satisfaction with the customers. The company hasestablished a strong supply chain management network for efficiently delivering of the productsand services towards the customers (Block, 2009). The company maintains a strong relationshipwith the suppliers for delivering of the product and services just in time. The major competitorsof the Woolworths Limited are ALDI, METCASH limited and Wesfarmers limited. TheWoolworths supermarket chain is owned by Woolworths Limited which has gained the 80% ofmarket share in Australia. The founder of the company is Ernest Williams, George Greed,Stanley Chatterton, Percy Christmas and Cecil Scott Waine. The chairman of the company isGordon Cairns and Brad Banducci is the CEO of the company. From the last few years thecompany is facing security issues regarding retail information. This particular study mainlyfocuses on the WBS and task sequencing approach for solving the security related problems ofWoolworths Limited.
