It is aresponsibility of any organization to take care of society peace and its goals. CSR is veryimportant for organization to remain sustainable. Communities mostly support the organizationwho takes the obligation to take care of society needs. Companies must take the responsibility ifits effects society environment and social well-being. Industries like chemical manufacturing,agriculture, mining and fishing are some of the examples who frequently damage localecosystems.MODEL RELATED TOCARROLL’S CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITYIn the above figure there is a basic model related to corporate social responsibility. First we needto know all four terms. There are four types of corporate social responsibility I.e. philanthropicresponsibility, ethical responsibility, legal responsibility, economic responsibility. 2 MODEL RELATED TO CSR AND BUSINESS ETHICSPHILANTHROPIC RESPONSIBILTYThe philanthropic responsibility is the responsibility to promote or take a step ahead for thewelfare of whole society especially by donating the money for the good and generous causes. If acompany shows sense of love, care and nourishment towards the society, environment and localeconomy, the society too supports that particular company for the enormous growth.Thisgenerally focuses on the quality of life surrounded by the organization(Park & levy, 2014). ETHICAL RSPONSIBILITYThe ethical responsibility is the responsibility of any company to walk on right path. Ethics is allabout the moral, discipline or manners. Unlike our personal life we might feel great sense ofethical responsibility for friends, family and closed ones. An organization has the ethicalresponsibility to their customer, employees and the society as a whole. When the thing arehappening is good then ethics are always good. An organization has ethical responsibility for thecustomers to give them exactly what they pay. When we see there are more customers areattracting towards the company, the employees are happy with the kind of achievement they aregetting but if the income is not increasing exactly then the seniors can take some actions inregards to cut some level of ethics. So, it is the organization responsibility to fulfill allresponsibilities of employees, customer in an effective way.LEGAL RESPONSIBILTYLegal responsibility is the measurement of mental capacity which is used in taking a decision towhich a person or any organization can be held accountable for illegal action or any crime. Anycompany has different types of responsibilities under the federal, state and local government(kercher, 1995). The license we need is depending upon the type of business. It mustrequire permission from the government before opening any company. The legal company mustpay taxes on the time. If you run your own business, then it’s your duty to pay taxes on the profitearned. In the employee’s part, the employees can sue the company against the labor law. Todaythere are many laws came for the customers, labor or any particular person who is engaged withcompany in one or other way.ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITYEconomic responsibility is the responsibility which describes basically four areas namely profit,transparency, non- discrimination and sustainability. It’s a responsibility of any big or smallorganization to satisfy their employees or customers in an effective manner. A organization mustbe profitable so that it satisfies their employees and customers. The organization must show theirtransparency nature to gain trust of their employees, customers and so on. In any companies wemight face partial behavior towards the employees which should not be acceptable anyhow in thecompany. If any employee faces such impartial behavior, then he/she has a chance to sue againstthe business ethics law (Grays, 1998)BUSINESS ETHICSBusiness ethics is the proper study of the business policies and the practices regarding the socialbehavior in the company premises. The well-known thought that “Honesty is the best policy” isthe need of today business. Business ethics are very important to any organization for its long- lasting growth and development.4 MODEL RELATED TO CSR AND BUSINESS ETHICSPRINCIPLES OF BUSINESS ETHICS – CODE OF CONDUCTCode of conduct is the rules of regulation of any company to be followed. By giving a code ofconduct about the company rules and regulation to the employees make them how to behave inthe company. The rules and regulation policy must contain provision related to non-disclosureagreement, compensation policy, incentives, discrimination policy, benefits of employees andcustomers, information transparency, work-schedule and number of holidays. There are manybusiness ethics policies which can be found in the codes of ethics adopted by the governmentemployees. There are many code of ethics covered in the government policies like conflict ofinterest, impartiality, performance of duties in the premises, acceptance of gifts and coupons.Business ethics are very superior to non-ethical ethics. An organization must choose the ethicswhich value every person interest. It’s good for any organization to walk on right path. Businessethics are always legal and permissible. If a company needs to take some necessary actionswhich are good for it, then it will know as ethics. If there is something necessity of company orits proper then it is good ethics. If its pit values for the good cause, then its comes under goodbusiness ethics. Under the context of business ethics, many decent people might feel justified ifthey break the code of conduct for the sake of good things. For example- if an employee is facingdiscrimination based on color in the company, then he/she can lodge a case and protectinghimself from the racial discrimination. To be honest and moral person, he/she must not onlybring good results but also be intentionally correct. Sometimes there are many things which areacceptable by us but not acceptable according to the good business ethics(Smith &Dubbink, 2011).CSR AND BUSINESS ETHICS IN HOSPITALITY SECTOR5 MODEL RELATED TO CSR AND BUSINESS ETHICSCorporate Social Responsibility is one of the major issues in the corporate world. It generallyinvolves non-commercial and ethical issues of business related to customer and employees.Making our society a best place to live is a dream of every person(Shale, 2010). CSR POSITIVE EFFECTS ? Companies who take corporate social responsibility in a good way could fetch betterreputation and popularity worldwide. It enhances the visibility of investors, customer’sloyalty. This also improves in brand image of the company and increases salesaccordingly. It help in maintain good public relation around the company locals.? Consumers always shows their keen interest that how companies are making huge profitand may want to indulge in the partnership to gain something big with same businessassignment.? Hotel management must go for some measures to implement on the huge electricity bills.The hotel team must think to reduce some electricity consumptions for cooking, lighting,cooling so that it could reduce the cost of the service they provide. This will help them tosale their product and services worldwide(Shale, 2010).? Corporate social responsibility with respect to hospitality is engaged with the idea ofserving sustainability. Today there are many hotels who are taking corporate socialinitiatives. The hotels are complying with government regulations which attract manynew customers.6 "
