However, in a minorcontrast from the total workforce in the State of Florida, the Mining, quarrying, and oil and gasextraction industry accounts for the least number of people who are absorbed and are actively inemployment. The sector only accounts for the 0.0222 percent of the total employment.Economic Base Analysis Section IIThe second section of the economic base analysis gives the comparison of the percentage of theshare of the annual payroll by industry in the state of Florida and Broward County per individualemployee. The economic Base analysis is best shown the figure and four which are shownbelow. The second sector with a relatively bigger payroll is the Health care and socialassistance sector which takes about 15.363 percent of the payroll during this period(Behar &Mok, 2013). The reason behind this might be attributed to a high number of people employed inthese two sectors or the individuals in this industry get relatively bigger salaries. "
