Harli Jordean
Harli Jordean, from the age of eight has been running a successful marbles company for two years, selling tubs of the glass toys to £599 limited edition Duke of York solitaire tables.
The mini mogul spends his extra time buying stock, processing orders and liasing with suppliers for his website.
The business is at the present turning over thousands of pounds and demand for products is so high that Harli has had to recruit help from his mother and two older brothers.
Harli, from Stoke Newington, London, said: "I like having my own company. I like to be the boss."
Sindhuja Rajaraman
Sindhuja Rajaraman, 14 year girl from Chennai studying in ninth standard has become the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of an Animation Company. Sindhuja Rajaraman becomes the CEO of chennai based Animation Company called Seppan. Sindhuja's Father is the founder of the Company. Her own talent helped Sindhuja to use Animation Softwares and also her father supports her all the way who is himself a cartoonist.
The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) awarded Sindhuja for the best 2D and 3D animator at Animation and Gaming Conclave held in Hyderabad, Andra Pradesh, India in the year 2010. The dream of Sindhuja is to learn animation at Vancouver Film School, Canada. Sindhuja has already tried to make a 3 minute animation film in only ten hours. She is also working on a 2D film known as 'Virtual T-Nagar' which talks about the hassles of shopping.
There are right now ten people working for Seppan, and the young CEO plans to enhance the headcount. Sindhuja on an optimistic note shared that she is the only CEO who is paid less than her employees.
Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg is the founder and CEO of Facebook at the age of 23 that he started in his college dorm room in the year 2004 with roommates Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.
Zuckerberg is responsible for setting the overall product strategy and direction for the company. He leads the design of Facebook's service. Mark studied computer science at The Harvard University before moving the company to Palo Alto, California.
Former in life, he developed a music recommendation system called Synapse and a peer-to-peer client called Wirehog. Though, he abandoned both to follow new projects.
Zuckerberg attended The Harvard University and studied computer science education before founding Facebook.
In the month September 2010, Zuckerberg donated $100 million to the Newark Public School System to help renovate and revamp the system.
Zuckerberg won the 2007 Crunchie Award for 'Best Startup CEO.' He was the Time Magazine 2010 Person Of The Year. He also won 2012 Crunchie Award for CEO of the year.
David Karp
David Karp born 6th July, 1986 is an entrepreneur and part-time model living in New York City. He is the CEO and founder of the short-form blogging platform, Tumblr. In the year 2010, he was named to the MIT Technology Review TR35 as one of the top innovators in the world under the age of 35.
He grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the son of Michael Karp and Barbara Ackerman. He attended The Calhoun School from age 3 to 8th grade, where his mother teaches science, till high school when he attended Bronx Science for one year before dropping out at the age of 15 and started homeschooling. Karp started interning for animation producer Fred Seibert at 14 and from there went on to work as the software consultant for UrbanBaby, the online parenting forum. Karp left UrbanBaby in 2006 and started working on Tumblr later that year. The site launched in the month November 2007.
Jared Hecht
Jared is the co-founder of GroupMe, a company that helps people get pleasure from their lives and experiences with friends. GroupMe's two core offerings are: GroupMe, a group mobile messaging service, and Experiences, the platform for finding, purchasing and planning group activities. In August 2011, GroupMe was acquired by Skype, which was then acquired by Microsoft in October 2011. Before, Jared led Business Development at Tumblr where he focused on an international expansion and strategic partnerships. Before Tumblr, Jared received his BA in Political Science from Columbia University in the year 2009 where he served as the Publisher and Managing Director of Inside New York. During college Jared also ran Mixed Bag Productions, the music marketing and production company that worked with nationally touring acts and festivals. In his leisure Jared serves as a mentor to TechStars, with an investor and advisor to various NYC startups for instance CheckThis, Bondsy and more. Jared is the national chess champion who enjoys racquet sports and anything involving the outdoors. At first a native of San Francisco, Jared now resides in New York City with his wife, Carrie.
