Climate change - A serious issue relating to the distribution of weather
Issue
Climate change is a serious issue relating to the distribution of weather patterns in different regions around the world. This issue could be a change in the basic weather conditions or the pattern of weather that is being distributed (weather event) in various locations. It is observed that the issue is widely spread due to biotic processes, solar radiation variations, volcanic eruptions and plate tectonics. Despite the natural processes that have the tendency to affect the climatic patterns, there are several human activities that have remained as the key reasons behind the recent trend of climate change (Kusky, 2009). This is clearly highlighted as global warming. The scientists have been studying the effects of global warming on the environment in terms of study of flora and fauna.
Issue of justice or common good
Climate change is an issue of justice as well as common good. From the perspective of justice, it is the role of the individuals in the environment to take the necessary initiatives to protect the surroundings. This proves the just behavior of the people. From the perspective of common good, it is noticed that the climate change might have serious consequences on the sustainability of the environment. The internal and external forcing mechanisms are continuously varying (Kusky, 2009). While the environmentalists and governments are serious on the control of the environmental actions, it is also noticed that climate change might be an issue of common good as well as justice. This will imply the need to develop the ability and understanding of earth's natural processes and create precautionary measures that will help in the survival of people as well as avoidance of unexpected interactions between the resources and processes.
Analysis of perspectives of people at stake
While noticing the consequences of climate change, it is clear that the whole world is vulnerable to it. From the perspective of sociologists, the climate change policy is found to focus on the emissions of the greenhouse gas. The sociologists believe that the society has to take the initiatives to reduce emissions to such an extent that its implications on the climate alterations do not prolong. Some of the regions are extremely vulnerable. This implies that the sociologists wanted the people to concentrate on the means to control emissions from different sources.
The ecologists believe that the world ecology is at stake. The global changes are evident as the climate change would lead to loss of biodiversity, land cover change, global biogeochemical cycle and the interaction with the climate. The ecosystems appear to continue the disruption. The mortality of the current vegetation is also at stake. The successional ecosystems are not expected to retain if the climate continues to change (Peterson et al, 1997).
Be it land or water or whatever it may be, the nations believe that the people are ultimately affected to greater extent. If climate change persists, there will be a greater need for the shift or reorganization of the cultural, ecological and economical levels. This will eventually create a space for new diseases that will increase the uncertainties in the environment. Humanity is extremely threatened. Some areas are expected to experience average impacts. However, some of the regions have the tendency to face extreme impacts that will demolish the presence of that ecosystem in the world.
