Communication being a two-way process is the exchange of the data byway of written, oral or any other mode such as gestures(Schwartz, et. al., 2011). The assignmentcovers the diagnostic tools used in the communication process along with the issues in thecommunication process. Various skills need to be acquired for improving the communication areexplained in this assignment along with the actions taken, events, activities and courses to beattended for the same. 3 1. Diagnosis and ReflectionFive diagnostic tools which are used in the communication process are as follows:? Verbal communication:The first tool is the verbal communication which I found in thecommunication process. While talking to someone the first thing in the communication isthe way of speaking as the verbal communication plays a vital role in the communicationprocess (Schwartz, et. al., 2011). The words used in the verbal communication should besoft-spoken and easily understood by the person listening. Stress should be made on thewords which are to be expressed and the tone of the voice should be soft which helps ineasy understanding and listening.? Politeness:The next tool diagnosed is politeness as it is avery important tool in thecommunication process. The person talking should be polite and soft-spokenas it helps ineasily understanding the words and shows respect and soft behaviour to the person withwhom you are speaking. This tool shows good manners and etiquettes of the person buton the other side, cultural differences also play a major role as some words which areconsidered polite in one culture might be rude in another culture. So these should beconsidered and taken care of while communicating (Zhu, 2011).? Active listening:Third communication tool which can be diagnosed is active listening.This technique of communication is very helpful and is mainly used in the training,counselling and business. According to this communication tool, the person listeningshould be active which means that the person is able to concentrate on the topic andunderstanding what is being spoken.With effective and active listening to the personwill be able to respond what is spoken to him and is remembering the subject matter ofthe communication. Further with active listening to the person will be able to understand4 "
